Local Area

Whitesands is located on the most westerly tip of South Wales.  There's plenty to do and visit in the local area: Whitesands is 2 miles from St Davids, with its famous Cathedral, craft shops and souvenir stalls.  Along the coast path from Whitesands you can walk to Porthsele Beach, St Justinian's Lifeboat Station overlooking Ramsey Sound and then on to Porthclais Harbour.  Or in the opposite direction the coast path takes you to past Trwyn Hwrddyn (Ram's Nose Headland, shown in the photo), to Porth Melgan beach and St David's Head.  Another option is to climb Garn Llidi mountain, set behind the beach, which affords wonderful views of the local area, including distant views of Southwest Ireland on a clear day.
